- What does Black History Month mean to you personally?
It means honoring a race and its significant culture while unapologetically being Black.
2. What is one thing about Black history that always fills you with pride?
Madame CJ Walker was the first self-made Black millionaire to pave the way for the beauty industry. It’s inspiring and makes me proud.
3. How do you view the representation of Black artists in the Dominatrix community?
I view them as strong and beautiful women who put in extensive time and effort to be seen and praised.
4. How do you celebrate Black History Month in your daily life or work?
I proudly advocate for those who came before me, educating my non-Black counterparts about Black History Month, and I collect my reparations out of respect for my ancestors.
5. How do you ensure your work stays authentic to who you are?
I make a choice to stay authentic and stick to it every day. Very simple.
6. What role do you think adult artistry plays in shifting perspectives on Black identity?
No one else can tell a story from the Black perspective than a Black woman or Black man. It wouldn’t be right. Adult artistry is another medium to create a new perspective on what it means to be Black and proud.
7. How do you think the Dominatrix community can better support Black Artists?
More Public praise and uplifting. Showing up for Black artists in times when injustice appears.
8. What legacy do you hope to leave behind as an Artist?
I hope to be bigger than my clips and create change in multiple different ways and platforms and show other Black artists we are not just one category and can be multi-faceted and successful.
Stay tuned for more of our amazing Artists and interviews throughout February!
